About Kaitlin Schilling

Orange County native but aloof to the infamous Orange County lifestyle. I probably belong somewhere with more trees and open space, or in a big city so alive it never sleeps. A nurse through and through; the nurturer inside of me is always reaching out for more. Lover of Jesus; being broken for Him is the most humble and fulfilling place to be. Engaged Married to my [hot] best friend, crazy excited to trek the journey of life together.

I have been writing creative non-fiction for as long as I can remember — always in my notebook, only recently publicly. My hope is to grow my storytelling. The human experience is so wildly individual yet undoubtedly universal. This is the space my creativity blossoms. I work as a hospice nurse and fill my free time with books, tea, writing, and community.

I love connecting with others, with those both similar and vastly different from myself. Please contact me if you have questions, comments, or just thoughts for me to chew on.

  1. Hello Kaitlin,
My name is Daniel and I have been referred to your blog by Scott Schilling. We met while attending a Nor Cal MUG event this Spring and have been working on a humble Mobile Pilot project for the Sacramento County Water Agency since then. I am very interested in your ideas and blog, such that I wanted to introduce myself.

I have a very serious question on my mind that I wish to ask you, what do you think of Jesus Christ?

  2. Kaitlin you are truly a child of GOD! Your words are so inspirational and loving.

Just Think, you’re here not by chance, but by God’s choosing. His hand formed you and made you
    the person you are.

He compares you to no one else…..YOU are one of a kind. You lack nothing that His grace can’t
give you. He has allowed you to be here at this time in history to fulfill His special purpose for this

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: Ecclesiastes 3:1

I feel your love for Cody stems from the love of our God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.

    1. Val, thank you so much for these encouraging words! I could not be more blessed by Cody and how God has brought us together. Your description of our love (as that is the root of Cody’s love for me) has been the most romantic journeys. – Kaitlin
